Hi Liam, briefly: do you already start the glissando up to the -7 at "Dont get around much anymore" with the tongue block shape or just use it arriving at te -4 and 4? Thanks, Norbert

Hi Liam, two questions: I hear a lot blues from the chicago 50's and the contemporary players as well but so far did not find any slow blues pieces like "Albatross" or "Easy", which are both my absolute favourites to play. Do you know any other beautiful slow pieces that you can recommend? And second: it is about time for me to pay for the second year. I forgot how to do it. How did that work? Greetings, Norbert

It might be interesting for all who learn the harp: I came across an app, that became very useful for me in my learning process. It is able to slow down the speed of a track without changing the pitch. ( You can as well change the pitch). I found it very useful to slow down especially Liam's song studies and to start at the speed that I am in and slowly get faster. The app is called: "music speed changer" web app. Cheers Norbert

Hello Liam, this is Norbert from Germany. I wanted to say something: I am 67 and started to learn with your school a year ago. The way you teach, your simplicity, your humbleness and the structure of your courses really opened the door to music for me and to this small metall blow box. I live alone and this really helped me through many nights - and still does. And this is my reason to say Thank you, Liam. You are a teacher as a teacher should be.

Hi Liam, Shoblues has a good backing track for EASY, - thanks for your advice. Again I have a question: during this last first year of learning, I discovered how endlessly deep the possibilities of the harmonica are. there is so much to learn and discover: the intermediate course, the blues course, tongue slapping, music theory, licks, modes, textures, songs... and all is very exciting. I am "jumping from here to there and back again" and even though I practice almost every day, I kind of feel, that I get bogged down and lose the path. Do you have an advice how to get back again and get focussed? Thanks in advance, Norbert

Hi Liam, meanwhile I can slow down the tracks and as I am improving my warbles, I would like to embed them into EASY from Walter Horton, which is one of my favourites (together with ALBATROSS), that I started to learn in July last year. I am still "swimming" in finding a good backing track. Do you have a suggestion (where and maybe also how to find one that fits to that song)? And congratulation to your new workshop about blues improvisation! I started to watch and todays free lesson is a very good beginning. Thank you, Norbert

Hello Liam, I am trying to learn warbles. In the video you start with 60 bpm and four notes / breathings at a beat. and this for about 20 seconds. My question: is there a special technique to get along with ones breath? I cant get all the air into my lungs and I also cant let it go through my nose. Do you know another way or are my lungs just too small? Norbert

Hi Liam, the new year still tastes very fresh and I hope it will be an easier year for you and all of us!. I was just thinking about what would be the safiest way to slowly go into blues improvisation. I am not sure. Maybe after almost a year of learning this question comes much too early. I somehow realize that the 12 bar blues is the deep structure behind - but which note to which chord is still a mystery. I dont find a door to crack it. Do you have an advice? Norbert

Hi Liam, I tried to find a print version of Amazing grace with textures among the exercises you offer. Could not find it. Is there one? Thank you. Norbert

Hello Liam, I have bought old songs from Leonard Cohen, written in guitar tablature and common music notes. If I dont go the way to try out all my four harmonicas - which are the signs in the writing, that tell me what key the tune is in? Appreciate your help, thank you.

Hello Liam, might be a strange question but nevertheless: I am in module 3 of the blues school, trying to learn warbles. As I am still slowly I cant figure out how often you move from -3 to -4 in line A : there are only - - - and in line E -4 to -5 there are - - - - Does that make a difference? Or how often do you move (it is so fast that I cant count) for one - ? Hope this is the right question to explain what my problem is. Thank you. Norbert
