Hello! Here are 5 free harmonica lessons to celebrate Scotland and the country's rich musical heritage. All these songs are tabbed out for diatonic harmonica (or "moothie" as it's known in Scotland). You can watch the free harmonica videos and download the free harp tabs as well. I hope you enjoy the lessons!
SONG 1: The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond
This song is about Scotland's largest loch (lake) and is one of the most popular Scottish tunes ever written.
SONG 2: My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean
The origins of this song are unknown, but it may be about Charles Edward Stuart ('Bonnie Prince Charlie').
SONG 3: Auld Lang Syne
This is a popular on New Year's Eve, when people join hands and sing together to see in the new year.
SONG 4: Wild Mountain Thyme
I have heard some people say this is an Irish song, but I've always thought of it as a Scottish song. Whatever the case, it's still extremely popular in Scotland to this day. It's also known as 'Will Ye Go Lassie, Go' and 'Purple Heather'.
SONG 5: Bagpipes!
OK so not a Scottish song as such, but an imitation of the traditional Scottish bagpipes. Learn to make a bagpipes sound with your harmonica in this quirky lesson.
Thanks for following my lessons. I hope you enjoyed them!
