When I'm Sixty-Four | Harmonica Lesson & Tabs | The Beatles

Updated: Sep 18

Hello! Today's free harmonica lesson is on how to play 'When I'm Sixty-Four' by the Beatles. The song has a playful, music hall style that sets it apart from much of the band’s rock catalogue. This harmonica lesson includes bends and overblows so it's definitely more for intermediates and advanced players, not for beginners! We'll be using a diatonic harmonica in the key of A.

Did you know?

McCartney actually wrote the melody when he was just 15 years old, years before The Beatles even formed. He later dusted it off for Sgt. Pepper, inspired in part by his father’s love of old-time dance music.
