This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie | Folk Harmonica Lesson & Free Harp Tabs

Updated: Sep 8

Hello! In today's free harmonica lesson I will teach you to play the folk song This Land is Your Land by Woody Guthrie. The melody is simple, clear, and instantly recognisable, making it perfect for beginners while still being fun to play for more experienced players. We will use a diatonic harmonica in the key of C. I hope you enjoy the free video and harp tabs!

'This Land Is Your Land' is one of the most famous American folk songs, written by Woody Guthrie in 1940. Guthrie wrote it as a response to Irving Berlin’s God Bless America, which he felt painted too rosy a picture of life in the USA. Guthrie's song was originally titled God Blessed America for Me, and some of the original verses were considered too political to be published at the time.
