Yellow Submarine | Harmonica Lesson & Tabs | The Beatles

Updated: Sep 18

Hello! Today's free harmonica lesson is a play-along video for Yellow Submarine by the Beatles. Grab a key of C harp and follow the harp tabs on screen to play along with me!

Although it sounds like a simple children’s song, Yellow Submarine was the result of Paul McCartney’s idea to write something fun and whimsical that everyone could sing along to - he even thought of it as a kind of "nursery rhyme for adults." The recording itself included sound effects like clinking glasses, chains, and even a cash register to create the feel of a lively submarine crew.

I hope you enjoyed learning to play Yellow Submarine!
